School Finance Adequacy and Equity

RSEC has a great deal of experience evaluating educational funding systems on adequacy and equity grounds. Working with a variety of interested parties (e.g., gubernatorial task forces, legislative committees, and foundations), RSEC uses multiple methods to systematically analyze current state and district systems of resource allocation. It further recommends, with input from stakeholders, policies and programs that most effectively and efficiency lead to student academic achievement. RSEC has impacted funding reform in many states, ensuring fidelity to constitutional requirements.
